Our Libraries
The library and learning resources of all campuses at Southwest Acupuncture College have been established to provide students and faculty with access to a variety of materials for research and educational purposes. The collections consist of books, journals, periodicals, and material on CD, DVD, and other electronic media. The preponderance of literature is in the field of Oriental medicine, supplemented with books in the western sciences and other healing practices. The collection is also rounded out with works in sociology, anthropology, history, language, and some paper medical journals. The medical literature is available full text, electronically, in two databases, Medline, and AltHealthWatch. In addition the complete run of the Journal of Chinese Medicine is available online. With the exception of journals and other delicate materials, the resources of the library are available to students on a lending basis. The library is equipped with computers with internet access for student use. Students at the Southwest Acupuncture College Santa Fe campus are also eligible to use most academic libraries in New Mexico thorugh the New Mexico Consortium of Academic Libraries Passport Program. Check with the campus librarian. Boulder students have access to the University of Colorado Library (Boulder). To view the College’s Library Catalog online click here (current students only please).
