About the Cordisco & Saile Leukemia Scholarship
The Cordisco & Saile Leukemia Scholarship is personal to Bucks County personal injury attorney Michael Saile. Michael’s son is currently battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He recently completed his treatment at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and is showing tremendous bravery in his fight against the disease.
“It brings my family and our firm great joy to offer this scholarship to a deserving student affected by leukemia,” says Michael, whose personal injury firm in Bensalem focuses on helping people and their families struggling with injuries. “We hope this scholarship relieves some financial burden for a student who has already sacrificed so much in their fight against this disease.”
Eligibility for the Leukemia Scholarship
Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify:
3.0 GPA;
Currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university;
Survivor of leukemia or has an immediate family member affected by leukemia;
Complete and submit essay and scholarship application;
Submit unofficial transcript; and
Agree to terms and conditions.
Essay Topics for the Leukemia Scholarship
Applicants must complete a 500 to 1,000-word essay on one of the following topics and submit it along with their application.
How has your experience with leukemia influenced your career or academic aspirations?
What character trait(s) did you attain or grow as a result of your experience with leukemia?
How would you give hope and support to somebody recently diagnosed with leukemia?

The Usha Rajagopal Foundation Scholarship was created to help students be able to afford to pursue their dream careers. As a doctor, Dr. Usha Rajagopal is all too familiar with how expensive it can be to afford to go to college. Therefore, she started this $1000 scholarship to help one student per year relieve a bit of their education financial burden.

A winner will be selected by June 30th, 2019. The winner will have 2 weeks to respond before a winner up is selected. Once the winner responds the scholarship money will be sent to their school’s financial aid office.
